《统计软件与应用》课程是统计学专业和数学专业学生的专业必修课之一。该课程是针对统计学院所有专业本科学生开设的,其特点是不以数学理论和推导为主,而是在学生了解统计分析的基本概念和基本理论的基础上,介绍每种统计分析方法的基本原理和思路,教会学生能够利用统计软件处理和分析实际数据。本课程主要以国际通用权威统计软件SAS为主要教学工具,以实际工作中的数据进行实训教学。教学目标:增强学生实际动手解决问题的能力,学会利用统计软件(SAS)处理实际数据,并掌握SAS系统的编程分析功能。

主要内容包括两大部分:一是统计理论与方法部分,包含数据预处理、描述统计分析、推断统计、多元统计、时间序列等。其理论部分只介绍这些方法的基本思想,授课的重点在于每一种分析方法,包括:每种方法的基本原理、应用前提、统计软件的实现及输出结果的理解和解释,并能给出结论;二是SAS统计软件的应用——主要讲述SAS的编程基础、SQL据库联机分析以及SAS宏,并与统计理论和方法相结合,对实际数据进行分析。

SAS statistical software and applications is one of the required courses of the students who are major in Statistics and Mathematics Professional (Financial Mathematics direction). The feature of this course is that main content of it is not mathematical theory and the derivation. The course introduces the basic principles and ideas of statistical analysis based on the students’ understanding of the basic concepts and theories of statistics, and learns students how to deal with and analysis real data using statistical software SAS software. The course can enhance students’ ability of solving practical problems by themselves, and can help students master how to make a programming analysis.

The content of the course mainly includes two parts: the first part is theories and methods of statistical calculation—data preprocessing, descriptive statistics analysis, multivariate statistical analysis, etc. The focus of this part is introduction of calculation method including basic principles, applications premise, implementation of statistical software and understanding and interpretation of output. The second part is application of SAS software.
