CATI即是计算机辅助电话访问（Computer Assisted Telephone Interview），是将现代高速发展的通讯技术及计算机信息处理技术应用于传统的电话访问所得到的产物。计算机辅助电话访问使用一份按计算机设计方法设计的问卷，用电话向被调查者进行访问。计算机问卷可以利用大型机、微型机或个人用计算机来设计生成。

本课程的主要目标是使学生能够理论联系实际，熟悉科学的计算机辅助电话调查方法，掌握一定的操作技能。
